How does the Placement Program work? There are three simple steps involved in becoming a workplace partner. Step 1. Deciding to Participate Step 2. Negotiating the Terms and Conditions for the Placement Generally, the core requirement is that students have the opportunity to see three clients per day as a minimum. Placements days (usually between 2 to 4) also vary according to the program the students are in. Step 3. Commencement of the Placement Once the placement has commenced, each party has responsibility for following the activities as indicated in the contract. Formal mid placement and end of placement reviews capture the progress and engagement of the student. In between these times there are many iterative points of informal follow up and review. Interested? If you are interested in participating in our placement program or even contributing in other ways to our course (e.g. guest speaking), please contact our placement coordinators: Phone: +61 3 9813 3400 or 1800 391 393 Email: [email protected] We would be more than happy to work with your agency to identify potential placement ideas and answer any questions you may have.
