The aim of the second placement unit is to provide the student with opportunities to apply their learnings from their course and experience working with a diversity of clients in clinical settings. Students will develop a range of professional skills to successfully complete a variety of relevant tasks including interviewing/assessment, formulation/case planning and applying learned treatment approaches, writing case notes and reports. This unit will provide opportunities for students to develop awareness of professional issues and available resources in mental health care in Australia (in community organisations, schools, medical and non- medical agencies).

Pre-requisites: CAP360 Counselling Placement/Practice 1.

Note: Must be completed in the last semester of the degree.
