She works with individuals to support their growth and help them to create more meaningful and fulfilling lives. Areas of work: Tanya works with individuals experiencing the following difficulties: Ageing and end of life Cancer and other chronic health conditions Depression, anxiety and stress Fertility, infertility, miscarriage, and termination Functional bowel disorders (such as IBS) and coeliac disease Grief and loss Parenting stress Relationship issues Women’s health – gynaecological conditions, perimenopause and menopause. Treatment Approaches: Tanya utilises the following approaches to treatment: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Mindfulness Motivational interviewing Narrative and life review therapies. Background and Experience Tanya has experience working with adults of all ages in healthcare settings, and adopts a range of approaches to her psychological practice. She is a Board Approved Supervisor for psychology, has co- authored three peer reviewed publications, and conducted research on parenting stress during her postgraduate psychology studies at the Cairnmillar Institute. Tanya provides Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) counselling at the Cairnmillar Institute, and has experience providing psychology within a secondary school setting. Tanya is a fertility counsellor registered with the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA) and the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA); and is able to provide rebates for Medicare Non-directive Pregnancy Support Counselling with a GP referral.
