About Coral In addition to her clinical work, Dr Coral Brown acts as a consultant and supervisor for people in private practice, provides mentoring and employee assistance programs for Cairnmillar’s corporate clients, and is involved in the professional development and training of psychologists and psychotherapists. Areas of work: Coral works with couples and individuals experiencing: Adjustment issues Anxiety Attachment issues Depression Grief and loss Treatment Approaches: Coral utilises her knowledge and experience using the following techniques: Psycho-Dynamic Psychotherapy Brief Integrated Therapies Background and Experience Coral’s research interests include attachment theories, psychodynamic psychotherapy, evidence based practice and training, relationship therapy and the therapeutic change processes. Another interest is her involvement as a committee member of the Psychoanalytically Oriented Psychologists Interest Group of The Australian Psychological Society. In the past she has lectured on brief therapy in the U.S.A. and Turkey and has been an invited guest presenter in Singapore. Coral is a Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia, an invited member of the Cairnmillar Council, the Senatus, and is a member of The Human Research Ethics Committee of the Cairnmillar School.
